A school assignment where we had to make our own cover art for any kind of existing publication whether it be a book, comic, magazine, etc. I kinda bent the rules and did video game box art. So here is my own version of the box art for what is one of my favorite games of all time, Final Fantasy XII.
Mitsuto Suzuki, one of the co-composers for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, wrote on his Square Enix blog that he will be collaborating with Japanese group Language’s vocalist Kaori for the upcoming game’s soundtrack.
Suzuki is one of the three composers for Lightning Returns, along with Naoshi Mizuta and Masashi Hamauzu (the head composer). The three also worked on the soundtrack for Final Fantasy XIII-2. This time around, their music will be divided among the four continents of Nova Chrysalia, each region showcasing a different composer’s work.
Language’s music, which is largely ambient and instrumental-driven, can be sampled in the discography section of their website.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be available worldwide on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 later this year.
The world of Gran Pulse is sinking into the sea and what remains is now called Nova Chrysalia.
With only thirteen days remaining until the end of the world, Chaos reigns in a world that never ages. New life cannot be born. People need salvation.
As Lightning, it is your mission to save as many souls as possible so that they may be brought to the new world. Along the journey, you will encounter familiar faces and engage new foes in all new lands. You must ultimately choose which souls to save and which to abandon…and fully understand Lightning’s true destiny.
It all ends here.
